Fogless Start the check

How foggy is your head today? Find out in one minute.

Three quick tests in your browser: reaction time, number memory and focus. No signup. Your first result becomes your baseline, so every check after shows whether you are getting sharper.

Free. Works on any phone or computer. Results stay on your device.

The three tests

  1. Reaction time. The box turns green after a random wait. Tap as fast as you can. Five rounds, and the median counts, so one slow tap does not sink you.
  2. Number memory. A number shows for a few seconds. Type it back. Each right answer adds a digit. Two misses ends it.
  3. Focus. Five arrows flash. Tap the direction of the middle one while the others sometimes point the other way. This is a version of the flanker task that attention researchers use.

What your score means

Your first check scores 100. After that, 110 means you did about 10% better than your first try across the three tests, and 90 means about 10% worse. It is a comparison with yourself, not a ranking against strangers.

People use it to see whether brain fog lifts after they stop smoking weed, vaping or drinking, after they fix their sleep, or during a stressful stretch at work. Scores also rise with practice, so the trend over a few weeks says more than any single day.

Questions

Is this an IQ test?

No. It measures three things that change from day to day: how fast you react, how many digits you can hold in mind, and how well you ignore distractions. It compares you to your own first result, not to other people.

Is it a medical test?

No. It is a self-tracking tool. It cannot diagnose anything. If you are worried about your memory or concentration, talk to a doctor.

Do I need to sign up?

No. The check runs in your browser and the result stays on your device.

Why would my score change?

Sleep, stress, caffeine, time of day, alcohol and other substances all affect reaction time and memory. Scores also rise with practice. Take it at a similar time each day and watch the trend over a few weeks.
